These images were captured during a River Cruise down the Rhine from Basel in Switzerland to Amsterdam in the Netherlands cruising through the Rhine Gorge. The Gorge is quite deep and is the stretch of the river known for its many castles and vineyards. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is known as "The Romantic Rhine" with more than 40 castles and fortresses and many country villages. From Basel we travelled by bus to the town of Breisach to board the cruise ship SS Antoinette.
